Great Show.
Let's start with the two opening acts. Parachute wasn't great, but good. I think Eric Hutchinson was great, but the arena was too big for him to really shine. He would be so much better in a more intimate setting. Consider him a bonus on top of The Outsiders. I was very glad to see him and will watch for him to come to smaller places nearby.
Now, to The Outsiders. I bought these tickets to take my two daughters to their first show. While we do own all of her albums and I like her voice, I have never been a huge fan. After this show, I have the utmost respect for her as an artist and a person. She has a very genuine personality on stage. She isn't lip synching and her voice is as strong at the end of the show as at the start. She has genuine talent. She surprised me with the variety of cover songs she performed, doing a great job with each, from Patsy Cline to The White Stripes. Her stage is very minimalistic, everything revolves around her talent and the other performers backing her up. I wouldn't have bought these tickets for myself when I bought them, but I would definitely buy them now for just myself and my wife. I am a truly converted fan now. Let's add some of her stuff to my Zune.
